How to make an Overnight Infusion
An overnight infusion is an amazing way to get plants into your system. It is incredibly easy and steeped much longer than your usual cup of tea, making it that much more medicinal. Try to steep the herbs for at least 6 hours. This method works best on above ground plant parts. Most roots, barks & seeds do better as a decoction (long, low simmer). Note :: if you get a headache or nauseas it is most likely due to too much herbs. Feel free to dilute with water or use less herbs. You will find the ideal dosage for you. Overnight Infusions are ideal for nourishing herbs. Herbs that don’t fall into that category should be used with caution. Always consult with your doctor if you are on any medications, have a medical condition, are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
