Tea + Art

  • Gallery North 90 North Country Road Setauket- East Setauket, NY, 11733 United States (map)

Join myself and my dear friend, and talented artist Matthew Mahler for an afternoon of ‘Tea + Art.’ Harness and exercise your creativity as you experience this unique approach to a tea ceremony immersed with art.

The ritual of tea is a beautiful way to connect with the plants, yourself, and spirit. Cultures around the world enjoy tea in ceremony, ritual, and recreation. Whether your daily routine consists of tea or not, Marguerite takes on a unique approach from the otherwise traditional silent tea ceremonies.

While sipping on 3 herbal teas, you will be guided with prompts to keep you in the present moment and engage with your senses. You will learn about the powerful effects the plants have on our mind, body, & spirit. Between tastings, you will be invited to channel your heightened senses as you work towards creating a single piece of art. Explore different art modalities after each herbal experience and document your sensory experience by creating a new mixed media work on canvas board. Afterwards you will create your own herbal tea blends to enjoy in the comfort of your home. Participants leave feeling nourished, informed, and more connected to themselves and Nature. *All teas served are organic & free of caffeine.*

Note :: Please consult with your doctor if you are on any medications, have a health condition, are pregnant, or trying to become pregnant.
