Land x Sea + Tea = Community

Join myself and Stacie Vanags at her lovely urban farm & abode ‘Teaquila Farm’ in Ventura for our inaugural Land & Sea event! With our eternal love for the earth, we’re excited to share a unique experience for our collective community that infuses mindfulness, education, curiosity, connection and of course tea!

We met through our volunteer work with Surfrider Foundation in Los Angeles, a non-profit dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the oceans, beaches and waves. Being a part of and creating a sense of community is important to us, and we are delighted to share a day with people who love to inspire and be inspired by others and nature’s wonders.

Stacie is the former host of the ‘Salted Spirit Podcast’, and published 80 episodes with water women from around the world. She also served as the Chapter Chair for Surfrider in Los Angeles. A Wisconsin born native, she started surfing in 2012, and the ocean has inspired her work ever since. Her interests have most recently evolved into gutting and remodeling a fixer upper, and designing an urban farm with her husband Chad, otherwise known as Teaquila Farm. We’re thrilled to be hosting our first Land x Sea event at Teaquila Farm in Ventura, a quaint property 10 minutes from the ocean, and 10 minutes from the heart of downtown Ventura.

We hope you’ll join us for a day of sharing tea, planting some seeds, getting a proper tour of Teaquila Farm, meeting Stacie’s chickens, making connections with new and old friends, and more.

WHAT TO EXPECT::

We will start the day with a tour of Teaquila Farm and hear about the vision & mission behind the project that Stacie & her husband Chad created.

Shortly after, Marguerite will be leading participants through a guided tea ceremony experience which incorporates mindfulness & education. This is an opportunity to learn about 3 different medicinal plants and some of the effects they have on our mind, body & spirit.  Each tea will be an organic nourishing herb free of caffeine.  The tea ceremony will then be followed by participants using their intuition to create their own tea blends to take home.

Lastly, we will wrap up the day with a fun garden project that promotes biodiversity, & beautification by making wildflower seed bombs!  You will take those home with you as well.
